Hi Alex, you can wash it after pickling. If washing it before pickling, you must spin off all the water in between the layers, or it will affect the taste.

Hi Charlotte, overnight means more than 8 hours, so it is ready 8 hours later, or longer if need be.

I made this recipe this morning and wondering if the cabbage will be pickled enough to use in tonight’s dinner of Pickled Cabbage Stir-fry with Pork?

Hi Kerrie, you can leave them in the vinegar water until ready to cook. It is a good idea to rinse each wedge, squeeze out the water, then slice and cook.

Thank you, Ken, you can squeeze out the liquid and freeze the wedge in a sealed container for later use.

Do you leave it in the liquid when you put it in the fridge and then wash it before you cook it, or empty the liquid and wash it before refrigeration?
